Alberto “Bertico” Herrada, a Cape Coral, FL resident was born May 18, 1960 in Caibarien Cuba passed away Friday, June 20, 2014 in Ft Myers at the age of 54.

Beloved Father, brother, husband and son, Bertico dedicated his life to providing warmth, love and laughter to those who surrounded him. Following in his father’s footsteps, Bertico was a fisherman by trade. He found solace in life’s simplest things.

He is survived by his son, Bertico Herrada of Miami; his mother, Cruz Aderma Rojas of Cuba; his life partner, Yadira Peña also of Cape Coral; six siblings, Grisel Herrada (Ramon) of Cuba, Miguel Angel Herrada (Sirelda) of Cape Coral, Leyda Herrada (Eduardo) of Cape Coral, Aracely Herrada (Ramon) of Miami, William Herrada (Tania) of Marathon, FL and Leidys Herrada (Pedro) of Clewiston, FL; as well as numerous nieces and nephews including: Dervis (Luis) of Miami, FL; Amauri of Cuba; Ruliet (Yurima) of Cuba; Dianko (Karla) of Cape Coral, FL; Geidry (Ruben) of Miami, FL; Glenys of Cape Coral, FL; Lisandra (Ariam) of Miami, FL; Willy of Marathon, FL; Johnny (Rachel) of Cape Coral, FL; Jessica of Miami, FL; Cinthia of Clewiston, FL; Darline of Cape Coral, FL; Jennifer of Miami, FL; Alejandro of Cape Coral, FL; Pedro of Clewiston, FL; Danny of Clewiston, FL; Gelacio of Cape Coral, FL; and Dashley of Cape Coral, FL

Bertico was preceded in death by his father, Gelacio Herrada.
