Amelia A Stroup

February 10, 1947 - April 23, 2017

Amelia Ann Stroup, 70, a resident of Bonita Springs, FL for the past 5 years, formerly of Jupiter, FL and Panama, passed away Sunday, April 23, 2017 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born February 10, 1947 in Jersey City, NJ.

Amelia was an accomplished artist, architect, interior designer and marketing executive. She attended Parson’s School of Design (New York) and went on to design and build several aesthetically amazing structures in New Jersey, New York, Panama, and Florida. Her design work was a perfect marriage of function and form. As an artist, she created several paintings and sculptures which you can see more of at her website http://josephdaqui.com/amelia/ For most of her professional career, she was a marketing executive for Prudential and QVC. She worked on cutting edge technology and design at that time for many of their product campaigns. During her retirement, she worked on graphic arts, sculpture, and several interior design projects locally in Bonita Springs, FL.

She is survived by her loving mother, Marie Bocchicchio of Toms River, NJ; two loving children, Joe D’Aqui (Sijade) of Martinsville, NJ and Michael D’Agui (Kathleen) of Bayonne, NJ; a brother, James Bocchicchio (Maureen) of Bayville, NJ; as well as a granddaughter, Atasia D’Aqui.

Amelia was preceded in death by her father, James Bocchicchio; a granddaughter, Mary D’Agui; as well as a niece, Jaclyn Bocchicchio.

Memorial services wereheld 1:00 PM Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Joanne’s House, 27200 Imperial Pkwy., Bonita Springs, FL 34135 with Pastor Dennis officiating.
