Anna M. Barth

July 5, 1926 - September 29, 2014

Anna M Barth was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on July 5, 1926 to Mathias and Anna (Horvath) Lempel. She is predeceased by her parents and her sister Elizabeth Wroblewski Leslie.
Anna is survived by her loving husband of 64 years John Wells Barth, of Cape Coral, daughters, Deborah Hoofer of Naples, FL and Nancy (Michael) Basinsky of Cleveland, TN and granddaughters, Kathryn Basinsky of Washington, DC and Jacky (Joseph) Justice of Atlanta, GA.

After being recruited from high school by the FBI, Anna Barth served her country during World War II while living in Washington, DC for 2 years. Following that service, she attended Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. She was business oriented and worked first at a local bank followed by managing a small hospital before giving birth to her daughters. From that point on she devoted her time to raising a family. During her stay at home years she had a strong calling for civic service serving on local PTA’s, school boards, library boards, Texas Republican Women’s Club and was a member of the Finance Committee for the City of Cape Coral. Anna was an avid bridge player, achieving Gold World Master point status in duplicate bridge.

Anna has been lovingly cared for the last 3 years by the Windsor of Cape Coral and in her last days by Hope Hospice. Memorials can be sent in her name to Hope (Hospice) Health Care Services of Ft. Myers or Parkinson’s Foundation.

No formal services are planned at this time.
