Bradford”Brad” C. Smith

Bradford “Brad” C. Smith, 85, of Cape Coral, FL, formerly of Farmington Hills, MI, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Sunday, June 1, 2014 in Cape Coral. He was born April 8, 1929 in Dearborn, MI to Bradford and Muriel Smith.

Brad was a graduate of Redford High School and Michigan State University. He was a past president of the Strathmoor Kiwanis Club and was a founding board member for the Detroit Children’s Center. Smith Printing founded in 1919 by Brad’s grandfather-flourished and expanded under his charge for over 30 years in Detroit.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Sharon (Walker) Smith of Cape Coral, FL; two children, Valeri Muhlenbruch (Nick) of Cape Coral, FL and Vawn Gray (Michael) also of Cape Coral; a sister, Judith Rodgers of Cheboygan, MI; a sister-in-law, Judith Zink (Robert) of Cape Coral, FL; seven grandchildren; six great grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces & nephews.

We will find comfort in our loving memories of this kind and generous man who set such fine example of a life well lived. Papa you will live in our hearts forever.
