Dan Robert Bobier

June 2, 1950 - February 23, 2015

Dan Robert Bobier, 64, a local resident since 1991, formerly of Michigan, passed away while surrounded by his wife and children, on Monday, February 23, 2015 in Cape Coral. He was born on June 2, 1950 in Detroit, MI to Dolores and Wilfred Bobier, now deceased.

Dan, also known as “Grumpa” to his grandkids had a passion for computers and cars. He received a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Kent State University in 1973. And then went on to work as a chemist for most of his career. As a self-taught computer geek, he landed a job with the Lee County School District where he was able to receive many certifications from both Apple and Microsoft. He recently retired from his position as a Computer Field Tech with the Lee County School District.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 36 years, Donna Bobier of North Fort Myers; three loving children, Dan Robert Bobier II, and his wife Susan of North Fort Myers, David Lawrence Bobier and his wife Amber of Italy, and Deenah Marie Torres and her husband Jason of Lehigh Acres; one brother, Gary Bobier and his wife Mary of Las Vegas, NV: his mother-in-law, Stella Dreslinski of Warren, MI; ten grandchildren, Alexa, J.J., Nathaniel, Kason, Jadon, Angelina, Emmalee, Scarlett, Landon, and Juliett as well as the family cats Mr. Bigglesworth, Ashley and Dawn.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, February 27, 2015 at The Hope Hospice Chapel, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Rev. Mason Jackson officiating.
