Dawn Rita Gertrude Crager

Dawn Rita Gertrude Crager, 40, a Lee county resident for the past 20 years, formerly of Wade, ME, passed away on January 19, 2015 in Cape Coral. She was born on September 12, 1974 in Biddeford, ME.

Dawn was a vibrant spirit that inspired so many around her. She was a dedicated wife and mother that made sure her family came first and foremost. She loved the beauty of nature and most of all, her time with her family. Dawn was a graduate from Edison State Collage with an associate’s degree in education. She worked in this field for five years. After that she was drawn to the medical field, where she worked as a medical assistant and was recently reenrolled in Edison State Collage working towards a Bachelors degree in nursing. Dawn loved spending a lot of her time with her grandson Ayden. He was her inspiration. Her Daughter Samantha is expecting a new bundle of joy that will be added to the family in April of 2015, which will be named Sophia Dawn in honor of her.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Richard L. Crager, of Cape Coral; parents, Richard Valade of Deland, FL and Diane Ledouxe of Wade, ME; loving children, Samantha Crager of Cape Coral, and David Crager of Cape Coral; loving sisters and brother In-laws, Scott & Crystal Weber of Fort Myers, Daniel & Shannon Hebert of Winterville, ME and Michael & Beth Hartford of Washburn, ME; grandson Ayden Crager-Dienst of Cape Coral; numerous nieces and nephews; as well as loving mother and father -in law, Marge and David Crager of North Fort Myers.

Memorial contributions in memory of Dawn Rita Gertrude Crager can be made to Richard Crager to go towards the journey of her final resting place.

A Memorial Service will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday, January 27, 2015 at Cape Christian Fellowship, 2110 Chiquita Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33991, with Pastor Lee Carnahan officiating.
