Subscription Update Obituary

Eugene “Geno” Michael Caraotta, 84, a Cape Coral, FL resident since 1992, formerly of Buffalo, NY.  He was born March 14, 1933 in Buffalo, NY to Joseph and Carmela “Molly” Caraotta, now deceased.

Geno was a founding member of Cape Christian Fellowship, Cape Coral, FL.  He was also a veteran of the United States Army and served stateside and in Europe.  Geno’s life long work was as a Beautician, owning several salons in Florida and Buffalo, NY.  Having graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Service,  he also served as the Director of Food Service, for both; Lee Memorial Hospital, Shell Point Village and Brother’s of Mercy (Buffalo, NY).  

Geno is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Vincenzina Genevieve Caraotta of Cape Coral, FL; one son, Kevin Michael Caraotta, Sr. and his wife Tess of Cape Coral, FL; one sister, Sylvia Scott of Buffalo, NY; nine grandchildren, Kimberly, Kristin, Kevin, Jr., Justin, Ryan, Marissa, Anna, Bryan and Lauren; as well as eight great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Gregg Vincent Caraotta. 

A Memorial Service will be held 1:30 PM, Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at Cape Christian, 2110 Chiquita Blvd., S., Cape Coral, FL with Pastor Dennis Gingrich officiating. 

Memorial Contributions in memory of Eugene “Geno” Michael Caraotta are suggested to the American Cancer Society, 4575 Via Royale, Fort Myers, FL  33919.
