Iris Virginia Shellhorn

Iris Virginia Shellhorn, 69, a lifelong resident of SW Florida, passed away Thursday, August 17, 2017 in Naples. She was born October 17, 1947 to Rufus and Wilma Givens, now deceased.

Iris was of the Christian Faith. She retired from Florida Rock in Naples where she enjoyed her work. She was a very giving and caring woman that took good care of all of her Family.

She is survived by her loving son, Richard Shellhorn and his fiancé Holly Beliles of Naples; three sister, Shirley Betz of Naples, Hazel Carraway of TN and Barbara Carraway of Naples; one brother, Rufus “Bud” Carraway of FL; two grandchildren, Justin and Jada; a dear friend, Nina James Mason of Naples; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Iris was preceded in death by a brother, Wayne Carraway.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM, Thursday, August 24, 2017 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Ft. Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Billy Cass officiating. The Family will receive friends at 11:00 AM up until the hour of service. A Committal Service will follow at the City of Fort Myers City Cemetery.
