James “Jim” A. Crump

March 31, 1928 - May 10, 2017

James “Jim” A. Crump, 89, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since the early 1950’s, formerly of Gadsden, AL passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born March 31, 1928 in Hot Springs, AR to John and Elnora Crump, now deceased.

Jim attended Russell Park Baptist Church in Fort Myers. He was with the U.S. Army during the Korean era, and a long time Lee County Deputy Sheriff under Snag Thompson.

He is survived by two loving children, Alan Crump (Jane) of Fort Myers and Jamie Anderson (Wayne) of Pasedena, TX; a sister, Dorothy Bachelor (Jay) of Madison, AL; as well as two grandchildren, Alan Jr. (Jessica) and Patricia Jane Crump.

Jim was preceded in death by a daughter, Brenda Sue Crump; a son, James Daniel Crump; as well as a grandson, Anthony Crump.

Memorial Services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday, May 20, 2017 in the Hope Hospice Chapel, 2430 Diplomat Pkwy. E., Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Reverend Daniel Antle officiating.
