Jimmy R. Tharp

February 21, 1984 - September 12, 2018

Jimmy Ray Tharp, 34, of North Ft. Myers, passed away tragically on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 as the result of a multi vehicle crash on the Business 41 Bridge in Ft. Myers.

He was the loving Husband of Vanessa Wing Tharp and devoted Father of his two girls, Jaidyn and Scarlett; cherishing every moment he spent with them.

Jimmy was born February 21, 1984 in Dallas, TX. He grew up in New Jersey and has lived in Florida since 2004. He adored and married the love and light of his life, Vanessa, on October 2, 2010. They would have celebrated their 8th year in three weeks. He worked the past 8 plus years as a talented motor pump technician at Bob Dean Supply.

Jimmy was everyone’s friend. He would bend over backwards to help his family and friends, which he did so on so many occasions. He was the “Go to Guy” for any help anyone needed. He enjoyed working in the yard or around the house. He especially enjoyed spending time with his girls and going on Date Nights with Vanessa.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, Vanessa; two daughters, Jaidyn and Scarlett; parents, Raymond and Karen Tharp of N. Ft. Myers; two sisters, Kathleen of Shelbyville, TN, and Carrie of N. Ft. Myers; grandparents, George and Mary Cotterall; in-laws, Norman and Connie Wing; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; as well as friends and co-workers.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Renee Cotterall.

Memorial Services will be 7:00 PM, Monday, September 17, 2018 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Ft. Myers, 33916 with Dr. Keith Krueger officiating.
