John Paul Quinn

John Paul Quinn, 73, a Cape Coral resident since 2004, formerly of Fair Lawn, NJ, passed away after a long illness on Saturday, June 27, 2015 in Cape Coral. He was born June 2, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ to John and Dorothy Quinn, now deceased.

John was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Cape Coral and St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Fair Lawn, NJ. He was a longtime executive with a major financial company in Jersey City, NJ before his retirement. He was a wonderful husband and a very kind, private, and proud man who loved his family. His happiest times were spent as “Grampy” to his grandchildren, who were his greatest pride and joy. He was a member of the Cape Coral Elks Lodge 2596 and the Cape Coral Irish-American Club.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Donna M. (Kohrs) Quinn of Cape Coral; daughter, Kimberly Hodge and her husband Franklin, Jr. of Ft. Worth, TX; grandchildren, Franklin, III “Trey”, Abigail, and Jayden; several aunts, who affectionately called him “Johnny”; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. His poodle Bailey will also be lost without him.

John was preceded in death by a sister, Cheryl Zipfel and her husband, Thomas, of Hillsdale, NJ.
