John S. McKeever

John Steven McKeever, 70, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 18 years, formerly of Kent, OH, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born December 18, 1947 in Akron, OH to John and Eileen McKeever, now deceased.

John began his 25-year banking and management profession in 1970 at First Federal Savings & Loan of Kent. He served as President in 1985 for the Institute of Financial Education – Akron Chapter 60, an industry related continuing education organization for banking employees. John and his family enjoyed raising and showing registered quarter horses for over 25-years. He served as a Director and President of the Northern Ohio Quarter Horse Association and was a lifetime member of the organization. Other hobbies he enjoyed were fishing and traveling, especially to NASCAR races throughout the country. After moving to Cape Coral, John became a Realtor® and specialized in new home design and sales for Paul Homes of Florida, LLC.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Robin McKeever of Cape Coral, FL; two loving daughters, Cindy McKeever (Todd Ferguson) of North Canton, OH and Candy McKeever Christy (Frank) of Rootstown, OH; brother, James McKeever (Helen) of Stow, OH and sister, Debra Scofield (Al) of Wadsworth, OH; grandson, Cody Christy (Kala Haefke); great grandson, Tanner John Christy; as well as Newman (the cat).
