Julia L. Vander Decker

Julia L. Vander Decker, 90, a resident of Cape Coral for the past two years, formerly of Colonia, NJ, passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 in Cape Coral, FL. She was born August 6, 1927 in Elizabeth, NJ to Joseph and Julia Littman, now deceased.

Julia was a 1945 graduate of Battin High School, Elizabeth, NJ. She was a loving, selfless wife, mother and daughter. She was a sincere friend to many. She loved to sew, was an avid reader, amazing homemaker cook and baker who along with George made everyone feel welcome in their home. She volunteered in many capacities. Julia enjoyed travel with her family and looked back with pleasure on her life.

She is survived by three loving children, William Vander Decker (Susan) of Cape Coral, Jean McKinney (Kevin) of Jacksonville, FL and Susan Koederitz (Kent) of Schwenksville, PA; seven grandchildren, Jessica, Thomas, Andrew, Karl, Clare, Allen, and Theodore; as well as three great grandchildren, Naomi, Aiden and Kira.

Julia was preceded in death by her husband, George F. Vander Decker.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Saint John Vianney Church in Colonia at 9:00AM on October 14, 2017.
