Karen L. Dawson Tintle
Karen Lynn Dawson Tintle, 53, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past ten years, formerly of CA, passed away peacefully at her home with her husband by her side on Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Cape Coral. She was born November 14, 1964 in Berwyn, Illinois.
Karen was a member of Grace United Methodist Church in Cape Coral. She was very proud of her nearly ten years of sobriety. She has a bachelor’s Degree in hospitality from Eastern New Mexico University. She was honored by her involvement in the Helping Hands Ministries. Which fed less fortunate people at Centennial Park in Fort Myers. She will be remembered for her giving nature, her loving smile and her happy attitude. She loved her wine, her popsicles, and her coffee.
She is survived by her beloved husband of five years, Donald “Bubba” Tintle of Cape Coral; loving mother, Shirley Dawson of Naperville, Illinois; two loving children, Daniel Korte, Jr. and his fiancé, Nikki Moderhack of Willowbrook, Illinois and Christopher Dawson of Chicago, Illinois. Three siblings, Terry Koc (Jim) of Brookfield, Illinois, Scott Dawson (Melissa) of Downers Grove, Illinois and Mark Dawson (Cathy) of Orlando, FL; a sister-in-law Marie Branch of Cape Coral; several nieces and nephews; five dear friends, Elana Miranda, Debbie Jankowski, Bertha Soden-Olsen Scott and Dot “Corky” Smith otherwise known as “The Goddesses”; adopted grand baby JJ and Candy Vasbinder as well as Chewby, Capone and Tonka, the dogs.
Karen was preceded in death by her father, Melvin Dawson.
A Balloon Release to celebrate Karen’s life will be held 6pm on Thursday July 5, 2018 at Centennial Park in Fort Myers. This date and time is subject to change. Please check back here for updates.
