Leonard “Len” E. Redon

November 4, 1951 - May 9, 2017

Len passed away at his Punta Gorda, FL residence, surrounded by family, after a courageously fought battle with Lung Cancer on May 9, 2017, at the age of 65.

He was born November 4, 1951 in Webster Groves, MO to Leonard and Joyce Redon (deceased) spending the majority of his youth in Cleveland, OH with his sister Judith Redon (deceased).

He leaves behind his loving wife of 44 years, Denise Socquet Redon; his son Jason Redon (Lauren), daughter Jennifer Redon Herlan (Ryan), and beloved grandchildren Amara (6), Corran (4), Renley (1); stepmother, Mildred Redon, and numerous cousins.

Len earned his Bachelors of Science degree in chemical engineering from Worcester Polytechnic Institute (WPI) where he served for many years as trustee. Upon graduation, Len accepted a position at Eastman Kodak Company becoming an officer of the corporation during his 28-year career. Following that, he served as VP of Western Operations for Paychex Inc. His final retirement was from the City of Rochester serving the public as Deputy Mayor until 2016.

Len’s continued commitment to Rochester was evident through his service to various boards and organizations in the areas of healthcare, youth services, education, and the arts.

A Memorial Service and celebration of his life will be held on Sunday, July 9, 2017 1:00 PM at Hochstein Performance Hall, 50 N. Plymouth Ave, Rochester.
