Robert “Hot Rod Bob” Joseph Heydolph

Robert “Hot Rod Bob” Joseph Heydolph, 68, a Lee county resident of 62 years, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2015 in Cape Coral. He was born on June 6, 1946 in Pittsburgh, PA to Earl and Marion Heydolph, now deceased.

Robert was known for his many accomplishments; Robert served in the United States Army for four years in the Vietnam War and he was a honorably discharged Vietnam veteran, his passion was Hot Rod Restoration and building, Motorcycle building and mechanic work, he was a Certified Propane Technician, he worked in home construction, he worked for the City of Cape Coral as a one and two family home building inspector, he had a great impact on the lives of everyone he knew, and he was a man that could bring a smile to anyone with his numerous jokes, he was a truly amazing man who will be remembered by everyone…

He is survived by his loving companion, Ann Frances White of Cape Coral; two loving children, Pamela Jean Bovee of Michigan, Robert “Bobby” Joseph Daniels and wife JoAnn of North Fort Myers; sister, Kathleen “Kitty” Heydolph and her longtime companion, Larry Shoemaker of Ocala; nephew, Chris Heydolph of Fort Myers; five grandchildren, Kristina, Emmit, Beverlie, Clayton, Robert; four great grandchildren, Charity, Bentlie, Blaze, and C.J.; as well as his companion’s daughter, Tara Wilson and husband Steven, and their three children Cole, Trey and Blaike of Miami.

Robert was preceded in death by two brothers, Earl “Skip” Heydolph and James “Jim” Heydolph.

A Memorial Service will be held at 1:00PM Saturday March 28, 2015 at Bayshore Community Chapel, 16990 Church Drive North Fort Myers, FL with Military Honors being presented A Celebration of Life will follow in Robert’s garage, 810 Whispering Pines Road, Cape Coral, FL.
