Timothy “Tim” R. Hoffmann

December 29, 1947 - February 18, 2018

Timothy Raymond Hoffmann, 70, a resident of North Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Hastings, MN, died Sunday, February 18, 2018.

Tim was born December 29, 1947 in St. Paul, MN to Edwin and Mary Ann Hoffmann, now deceased. He was an Eagle Scout and proud graduate of Cretin High School and the College of St. Thomas. After finishing his education, Tim served in the Army Reserves and worked as a mechanic. He made the best decision of his life in 1969 when he married his beloved wife Karen. In 1970, Tim began an accomplished career at 3M which spanned 35 years.

Outside of work, Tim and Karen lovingly raised their three children Kristin, Anna and Andrew on a small farm in Welch, MN. Whisperidge Farm provided Tim the opportunity to serve as a 4H leader, Scout Master, Fire Marshall and a chairman of the town board. After retiring from 3M, Tim found joy in many activities including fishing trips to Canada, duck hunting at Lake Christina, motorcycle rallies in Sturgis and road trips to warm destinations with his lovely bride. Tim was a devout Catholic and enjoyed volunteering at the local food shelf.

Family was always at the center of Tim’s world. He enthusiastically welcomed his new sons Mike Wallace (Kristin) and Charles Engrem III (Anna) into the family, was a doting grandfather to Mackenzie, Will and Scarlett and was thrilled by the recent engagement of his son Andrew to Alisa Garr.

Tim fell in love with the Florida sunshine and moved Karen and his faithful companion, Bob, to Magnolia Landing, where he tried to perfect his golf game. He will be remembered as a man of faith, family and friendship.

In addition to his immediate family, Tim is also survived by his brother, Tom Hoffmann (Michelle) and sister, Susan McGee (Peter), several nieces and nephews and many, many friends.

A Celebration of Life will be at Magnolia Landing Golf Clubhouse in North Fort Myers, FL.

A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00 AM Friday, May 25, 2018 at Our Lady Of The Lake Catholic Church, 2385 Commerce Blvd., Mound, MN 55364. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 10:00 AM until the time of service. All are welcome to join the family for a luncheon following the service.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions in memory of Tim Hoffmann to the charity of your choice.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.
