Wilhelmine Eyster

May 27, 1929 - March 5, 2018

Wilhelmine “Willie”, “Wilma”, Eyster, age 88, died peacefully surrounded by family on March 5th, 2018 at Hope Hospice Center, Cape Coral, Florida.

Wilma was born May 27, 1929, in Bayreuth, Germany, the daughter of Josef and Elisabeth Neff. She was one of 13 children and the last surviving member. She is preceded in death by her dear late husband, Edward K. Eyster, and beloved son Harold Eyster. She was widowed (Oskar Larsche) at age 27 with four children. She subsequently married Edward, an American G.I. and immigrated to the United States in 1961.

Wilma was a former resident of Willingboro, N.J. for 40 years before retiring to Cape Coral, Florida. She was known by her family and friends as “the best cook and baker.” She especially enjoyed her weekly Kaffeeklatsch with her German girlfriends.

Wilma is survived and dearly missed by her daughters: Bettina Castano, (Thomas Castano) of Thornton, Pa., Oriana Larsche-Jones, (Sam Jones) of Cape Coral, Fl., Christine Eyster of Grandy, N.C. and son Raymond Eyster of Cape Coral, Fl. Mom mom “Omi” will be dearly missed by all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will also be fondly remembered by her many dear family friends, as well as her nephews and nieces in Germany.

Private services and burial will be held at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Burlington, N.J.
