William “Willie” A. Cusick

April 6, 1952 - March 4, 2018

William “Willie” Cusick, 65, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past five years, formerly of Strongsville, OH and Fort Lauderdale, FL passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 in Cape Coral surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 6, 1952 in Jamestown, NY to Thomas and Helen Cusick, now deceased.

Bill was of the Catholic faith and for most of his career worked as a sales rep. of industrial maintenance supplies in SE Florida Broward County. He was an avid fisherman/angler and member of The Coastal Conservation Association; was passionate about protecting the environment, sea life and passage of banning the nets. Additionally, volunteered for several Boy Scout “catch and release” fishing tournaments throughout the Atlantic, Gulf of Mexico and Virgin Islands.

Best known for his story telling, jokes, impersonations, laughter, love of cooking, music, baseball (especially the Cleveland Indians) and enjoying the simple pleasures of just talking with friends and family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 22 years, Darlene Cusick of Cape Coral; three brothers, Thomas Cusick (Kitty) of Ft. Edward, NY, James Cusick (Bobbie) of Naples, FL and Robert Cusick (Caryn) of Charlotte, NC; several nieces and nephews and his favorite pet Jinxy the cat.

Funeral Services will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Mullins Memorial, 1056 NE 7th Terrace, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Pastor Lee Carnahan officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Committal to follow at Coral Ridge Cemetery.
