Samantha, David and the Mann Family,

We are so sad to hear of your Dads passing. I spent alot of time with Al at our mutual kids athletic events over the years and cherished his friendship. I fondly remember our friday afternoon summer card games at the Egan pool with my Dad and Al. He was as well read as anyone I have ever met, and could discuss any subject matter. He loved his 2 children and cherished his friendships in Berkeley Heights and New Jersey. We will miss your warm personality Al.

    God Bless

I will never forget Al and how specially he was especially in track and football. He was great at everything he did. I will never forget my Junior in high school playing in the Patterson Central/Garfield football game how Al blocked a guy that literally flipped three times up in the air before he hit the ground.

    RIP Al

I came to know Uncle Al through his goddaughter, Michele. If Uncle Al was at an event, you were guaranteed to have a lively and intellectual conversation, as well as lots of laughs! Great guy who loved his family.

“Big Al” as we knew him in Garfield was a great guy.
We spent many nights/days together with the “gang” at Barcelona’s on Harrison Avenue. Our favorite meeting place.

Always up for a laugh and a good time. His easy going nature and great sense of humor made him a person who you wanted to be with.
    I will miss him.
My sincere condolences to his entire family.

    Dear David and Samantha,
I am shocked to find out about Big Al’s passing. Phone calls from New Jersey were spontaneous and positive. We traveled to Egypt via cruise ship to visit the Temples, Pyramids, and the Sahara. He truly loved the excitement of his family and friends. Rest In Peace. Love, Bill
