Anita Jeanette Flaitz, 79, of North Fort Myers, passed away Friday, February 5, 2021.

I bought Anita’s condo in 2021 and I feel a special bond with her – even though we never met. Her color choices, her artwork, nick-knacks, the fact that she was diabetic (as am I)…. She made many choices that I would have made myself, and I like to think that if I knew her when she was living, we would have been friends.
Hurricane Ian came through just over a year after I assumed ownership. I was able to salvage some furniture, but all the cabinetry was destroyed. I sense that she would have approved of the restoration and updates, but it’s not decorated as beautifully as it was when she lived here.
I’m sorry she is no longer with us, but thankful to be able the home she once held dear.
