Anna Mae Sharp

Anna Mae Sharp celebrated her 100th birthday on January 1. She lived in Miamisburg, OH and became a seasonal resident of Cape Coral, FL in 1985. Anna passed away Tuesday, February 22, 2022, in Fort Myers, FL.

Anna was born January 1, 1922, in Middleton, OH to Gerald and Mayme Sheley, now deceased.

Anna was of the Christian faith. She owned her own beauty business for over 50 years. She was an amazing woman and well loved by anyone lucky to meet her. Anna was an avid gardener, a talented artist, a beautiful dancer, and a fabulous cook, famous for her fried chicken.

Anna is survived by her loving son, Larry Sharp and his wife Jeanne, of Miamisburg, OH and grandchild, Travis Sharp.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard, to whom she was married to for 50 years; her sisters, Jenny Wilson, Betty Clem, and Margaret Crawford; as well as brother, Gerald Sheley, Jr..

    Anna, as she wanted me to call her when it felt only proper to call her “Mrs. Sharp!” She always introduced me to others as “the daughter she never had.” Those words did more for me than she ever could have known. A wonderful person who I think about so, so often…she made a lifelong impact on me…both Bernard’s and her love and acceptance wholeheartedly. I have always been and will be emotionally attached to them both.
