Antonia Villarreal Longoria

July 11, 1935 - November 26, 2021

Antonia Villarreal Longoria, 86, a resident of Fort Myers, FL since 1958, formerly of Rio Hondo, TX, passed away Friday, November 26, 2021. She was born July 11, 1935 in Charco, TX to Manuel and Gregoria, now deceased.

Antonia was of Catholic faith and was a member of Our Jesus the Worker in Fort Myers, FL. She was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother.  Antonia devoted her entire life to raising her family.  She loved to cook and was known for her delicious food.  To date, her tamales and frijoles a la charra are unrivaled by anyone else! In her youth, she was a model. Antonia was a hard worker, she could out-pick cotton and put her father’s hired hands to shame at their farm. She also had an ability to fix just about anything. Antonia will be remembered for her cheerful attitude, singing in the kitchen, and her sense of humor. She will be dearly missed.

She is survived by her loving children, Norma Longoria (Jesus Martin Botello) of Fort Myers, FL, Edio “Eddie” Longoria (Maria) of Weslaco, TX, and Josefina Longoria of Fountain Inn, SC; as well as ten siblings, nine grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren.

Antonia was preceded in death by her husband, Edio Longoria in 1998; son, Carlos Longoria; grandson Alejandro “Alex” Martinez; as well as three sisters.

Private family services will be held.

In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that monetary Memorial Contributions in memory of Antonia Villarreal Longoria be made to the family.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Fort Myers, is entrusted with final care.

    My Sweet Loving Mother : We are so saddened by your passing, we miss you terribly but we find comfort that you are with our loved ones who are with you. We find comfort knowing that you can now Resting In Peace & you have No illnesses. Like we promised you everything here is fine , your requests have been granted . Thank you for your unconditional love , for always being there for us .. All those qualities that you instilled upon us .
