Antonio Paul Verdecanna

Antonio Paul Verdecanna, 16, a lifelong resident of Lee County, FL, passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2019 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born August 5, 2003 in Fort Myers. He will live forever in our hearts.

Even at a young age he had his priorities right; Love for his family was at the top of his list. Traditions and holidays were important to him. He was extremely knowledgeable and interested in many things. He had a true passion for fishing in canals, the ocean, and Wisconsin Lakes. He observed nature, especially marine life and was good at naming and conversing about them. Cars held a high level of interest to him. He could name almost any vehicle and spot a fast sports car from a mile away. He was skilled at figuring out technology. History, news, and new places were exciting to him and were topics of conversation.

He is survived by his loving mother, Heidi Larson and dad, Bo Coates of Cape Coral, FL; sister, Taylor Coates; maternal grandparents, Paul and Therese Larson of Stoughton, WI; paternal grandmother, Rita Fair of Mexico; Auntie Katie, Uncle Peter and cousins, Jaclyn and Nicholas Schelitzche of Oregon, WI; special nanny, Joy Booth; as well as many other friends and family members.

Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 PM on Tuesday, August 27, 2019 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33916 with Pastor Dennis Gingerich officiating. The family will receive friends for a time of visitation from 4:00 PM until the time of service.
