Arthur (Bud) William Sullivan
Arthur (Bud) William Sullivan died at the age of 82 on Dec. 1, 2021 at his home in Cape Coral, Florida after a long illness. He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on Oct 6, 1939, the second son of John and Dorothy Sullivan.
Raised in Charlestown, Massachusetts he achieved acclaim in his youth as a sports star and earned several college scholarships. His highly sought-after skill set as a specialty pipefitter and welder allowed him to crisscross the country to work on projects and teach welding school. As an avid reader, he possessed a lifelong passion for continuing education until his final days. He gave back to his community by volunteering as a hospice worker.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine McKenna of Chichester, NH and his son, Arthur Sullivan of Cape Coral, FL.
He is preceded in death by his children, Jean Marie Sullivan, Maryanne Sullivan and Joseph Francis Sullivan; as well as his siblings, Richard Sullivan, Carol McNelly, Arlene Dacey, Jacqueline Clark and Dorothy Pike.
Shortly before he passed he summed up his life, “I’ve had a good life. In the end I can say I’ve loved others and been loved by them.”
