Barbara “Bobbi” Elaine Burgess
Barbara “Bobbi” Elaine Burgess, 74, a Cape Coral resident since 1985, formerly of Indianapolis, IN, passed away Monday, July 13, 2015 in Ft. Myers. She was born November, 29, 1940 in Indianapolis, IN to Irwin and Aleen Estridge, now deceased.
Bobbi was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star and past guardian of Jobs Daughters Bethel 16 of Millersville Lodge in Indianapolis, IN. She graduated from Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis, IN. She attended Marion County School of Nursing and worked at Blue Cross Blue Shield for 15 years. She was a sales representative for Beeline, a woman’s clothing line and Home Interiors. After she moved to Cape Coral, FL, she worked at The Marc for 20+ years. She was a very spiritual person and touched many lives and became an ordain minister out of Cassadaga, Florida.
She is survived by five loving children, Debbie Boggs of Leslie, AR, Scott Lynch (Sandra) of Cape Coral, Michele Lynch of Cape Coral, Irene Burgess-Brauen (Heather) of Rio Rancho, NM and Dawn Burgess-Daugherty (Billy) of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Judith Ann Demint of Ft. Myers, and a brother, Billie Quillen of NC; grandchildren, Shawna, Gregory, Steven, Sophiya-Rose, Travis (LeAnn), Michael (Katy) and Ashley (Alex); great grandchildren, Patrick, Madison, Abby, Victoria, Jenalea, Jocelyn, Jaxson, McKinzey, Madison, Christian, and Caden; several nieces and nephews; as well as Jasper, the cat.
Bobbi was preceded in death by a grandson, Brandon Boggs.
A Traditional Irish Wake will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, July 25, 2015 at Michele Lynch’s residence, 1327 SE 8th Avenue, Cape Coral, FL 33990.
