Brenda Lee Wood

December 7, 1960 - December 14, 2019

Brenda Lee Wood turned 59 on December 7, 2019. She lived in Lee County for the past 40 years, formerly of Baltimore, Maryland. She passed on Saturday, December 14, 2019. Her loving family-Mike, Nick, Jen, Joey, John, Lily, and Chris.

Brenda was a mother, a grandmother and a friend. She gave all of herself to all those she loved and befriended. She never expected anything back from others. At times she would be overwhelmed by others kindness to her.

Brenda had such a great sense of humor. She was so very smart too. She loved messing with telemarketers and salesmen.

You seldom heard her complain or that she was having a bad day or a rough time. She could tell you how good she was doing. She never wanted to be a burden on anyone.

She raised three strong men. Jen was the daughter she never had. They all know who they are and they know the importance of family. They are close and work well together. She will be excited to see from heaven them fulfill her dream of owning property together and living together and working together.

She loved her grandchildren. Though at times she felt stretch by Joey she wanted to work it so she would have a relationship with him and for him to know that she loved him and recently enjoyed teaching him to cook and John how to bake. Lily lit her days up and loved her dress up outfits.

She was excited to see Erika do so well with her pantry business and couponing. Was even talking about learning some of her skills.

Brenda had long term friends from years of cub and Boy Scouts and made good relationships during her years with Trace America. She was amazed by their love towards her.

She loved Steve and those two could have fun together and she at times got annoyed by his onerous. Steve was a good big brother and though rough around the edges he cared for her well.

Extended family near and far are going to miss her greatly.

Brenda made me a better person. Her strength and fight amazed me. I admired how she endured so much but loved and laugh so much. She taught me to try to chill. We have had some good times together in the last ten years in particular. I thank the Lord for the time I have had with her.

Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday, December 18, 2019 in the Chapel of Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway East, Cape Coral, FL 33909 with Pastor Dennis Gingerich officiating.

Brenda was one of my sister cancer warriors who’s unselfish kindness would support me even though she was going through difficult times. She will always have a place in my heart.

Brenda was one of the best people I know. The most kind hearted people I’ve ever met. She had such a great sense of humor, the cruise we took together to the Bahamas was the one I enjoyed the most and I hope she did also. So many times I could call her and check up on how everyone in Fl was doing . She never really let me know how sick she was that’s why I was so sad and unprepared for her passing . Love you Brenda you were family to me when my own wasn’t. I will always miss you friend.
