Brian V. Whitaker

Brian Vincent Whitaker, 51, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 14 years, formerly of Dunedin, FL, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2019. He was born October 22, 1967 in Ann Arbor, MI.

Brian was a loving friend, son, brother, father, uncle, grandfather and husband. Brian was a friend to all and never met a stranger. He embodied all that life offered and lived life to the fullest.

He spent the last 29 years with the love of his life, watching their children grow, learn, and find their path. Brian’s greatest accomplishments were his three girls. No daddy was more proud of the young women they have become.

He was a 24 year employee of Rooms To Go where he thrived as a salesman. Not only was he a top writer for the company, but a friend and mentor to his co-workers. He will be greatly missed by all.

Brian loved the water; boating, fishing and diving. The water soothed him and relaxed his mind. After being on the water, he was rejuvenated and ready for his next adventure.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 24 years, Tammy Whitaker of Cape Coral; loving parents, Barry and Barbara Whitaker of Chesterfield, VA; three loving children, Ashleigh Fisher (Logan) of Chester, VA, Amber Whitaker of Cape Coral, and Jessica Whitaker of Cape Coral; sisters, Jennifer Poindexter (Sean) of Centreville, VA and Lisa Dean (Brian) of Chesterfield, VA; as well as three grandchildren, Autumn Fisher, Finn Fisher, and Waverly Fisher.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday June 30, 2019 from 6:30pm-8:30pm at the Moose Tiki Hut located at 155 Santa Barbara Blvd. N., Cape Coral, FL 33993.

A Second Celebration of Life will be held from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Saturday, July 6, 2019 at Amber Grove,16216 Genito Rd.,Moseley, VA 23120.
