Carol Marie Dodge

July 2, 1941 - January 4, 2022

Carol Marie Dodge, 80, a new resident of Bonita Springs, FL, passed away Tuesday, January 4, 2022 in Bonita Springs. She was born July 2, 1941 in Grand Haven, MI to Orville and Iris Ryder, now deceased.

Carol was of the Lutheran faith and attended Hope Lutheran Church in Bonita Springs.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 63 years, Richard Dodge of Bonita Springs; children, Donald Dodge (Sara) of Mears, MI, and Cindy Avink of Grand Haven, MI; siblings, Doreen Cousineau of Muskegon, MI, Lorie Nole (Dan) of Hesperia, MI, Ronald Ryder (Bonnie) of Gladstone, MI, and Thomas Ryder (Terry) of Mears, MI: grandchildren, Nicholas Avink (Krista), Benjamin Avink (Hailey), and Belinda Drake (Stewart); as well as a great granddaughter, Vivian Avink.

Carol was preceded in death by a sister, Susan in 2021; son in law, David in 2008; as well as a daughter in law, Nancy in 2017.

 A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date in MI. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com

    Dear Dodge and Ryder families, our deepest sympathy at the loss of Carol. Recalling the old Fisher School days of walking to school together, except we had the travel so much farther. May she rest in peace as you find comfort in God’s everlasting love.

    I have so many good memories of working with Carol at the post office. She was a great Postmaster and her customers loved her. I was so sorry to hear of her passing. Prayers for her family. Rest In Peace, Carol. 🙏❤️
