Oh I have such fond memories growing up and spending many hours at the family home in Pines Lake. How fortunate I was more recently, to spend time with Kate at Great Oaks in Maine. I remember we got Kate up playing corn hole when she was 90! And she could spend endless hours from the dock, watching her kids, grand kids, and great grand kiddos water skiing.
Rest In Peace in heaven Kate where they make a pretty good scotch!

Please give our love and condolences to the whole Civil clan. You are all truly blessed to have a Mom like her, and I was lucky to have had her “correct my behavior” a few times a west beach and your house. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.

I met her once. What a gentle and gracious person. I pray she is happy and in peace in the arms of our Lord. My condolences to all the Civil families, especially Matt and Kristen’s family and Jean’s family. Frances

Lois and I were honored to have Bob and Kate as neighbors during our years at Boardwalk Caper. A warmth radiated from Kate when you were in her presence. I think those who knew her know what I’m talking about. You will be missed, Kate!

Thank you for posting Aunt Kate’s memorial. She was always a favorite of all of ours. I have so much respect and admiration for her. I will miss her dearly. We Civil’s were certainly blessed with fantastic parents, Aunts and Uncles. Not to mention the best group of cousins ever. I wish I could make it to the funeral, I know I will miss out on all the great stories and memories. I will be with all of you in spirit. As soon as it is safe to travel we plan to start going to all Civil family get-togethers. I can’t wait to see everyone. I love and miss you all, very much. Lori Civil Gibbs
