Daniel William Taylor

August 18, 1962 - December 24, 2019

Daniel William Taylor, 57, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2003, formerly of Polk County, FL, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019 in Cape Coral. He was born August 18, 1962 in Haines City, FL to Ronald and Shirley Taylor, now deceased.

Daniel was of the Southern Baptist faith. He was also a veteran of the United States Navy.  He was with the Florida Highway Patrol for 33 years. 

He is survived by his beloved wife of 12 years; together for over 20 years, Diane Taylor of Cape Coral; two loving children, Breanna Taylor of Haines City, FL, and Bradley Taylor (fiancé, Samantha Gallagher) of Lakeland, FL; brothers, Walter Taylor of OH and Ronnie Taylor of FL; father in law, Jestyn LaCalamito (Alison) of North Carolina; mother in law, Susan Flanigan of Cape Coral; as well as Nutmeg and Peju, their cats.

A Celebration of Life will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, January 18, 2020 at First Christian Church, 2620 Country Club Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33904.

    RIP Dan! I worked with Dan a few times over the years with the patrol! Awesome guy! God bless his family and friends during this most difficult time! He is home now so no more pain & sickness. God bless!

    Dan and I were best friends and were stationed together in Edzell Scotland US Navy 81 to 84. I was so saddened to hear this as we had lost touch after having a stroke myself and moving. My condolences to his family, he will be missed. Anchors Away Shipmate. I welcome contact if possible.
