David Lee Maxwell

April 17, 1957 - October 24, 2021

David Lee Maxwell, 64, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for over 30 years, formerly of Lorain, OH, passed away Sunday, October 24, 2021 in Cape Coral. He was born April 17, 1957 in Lorain, OH to Leo and Mary Ann (Ulakovic) Maxwell, now deceased.

David was of the Lutheran faith and was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Cape Coral. He was the proud father of his children. He was always there for his family and a father figure/mentor to many. He was larger than life and a protector to his little ones that he loved more than life. He will always be remembered for his jokes and his cooking. He was always a hard worker, working in the Pool Industry for a number of years.  He also back in day enjoyed his coaching days for the kids at CCJFA. “Go Browns!!”

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Michelle “Rene” (Ruby) Maxwell of Cape Coral; children, Kathryn Maxwell of Lorain, OH, and Alexandria Maxwell of Port Charlotte, FL; sisters, Kitty Grant of West VA, Donna Manchester of GA, Betty Maxwell of WA, and Ann Connerton of Fort Myers, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews; as well as grandchildren, Aubree, Jemma, Isaiah, Peyton, and Sadie.

David was preceded in death by his son, James Edward Maxwell in 2018, and brother, John Maxwell.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 20, 2021 at Christ Lutheran Church-ELCA. They are in the Epiphany Episcopal Church: 2507 Del Prado Blvd S., Cape Coral, FL 33904. His ashes will be placed at the Memorial Garden following the service at: Messiah Lutheran Church, 2691 Pine Island Rd., North Fort Myers, FL 33901.

Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

    I miss you man I am praying for you and your family – I will always remember your jokes and old saying about vague quote requests the day before bid, ” We the few, who have been provided so little, are called upon to provide so much”
