David Mermin

February 15, 1955 - August 12, 2020

David Mermin, 65, a resident of Port Charlotte, FL since 2011, formerly of Mountainview, CA, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2020. He was born February 15, 1955 in Montgomery AL to Norman and Joan Mermin, now deceased. He spent most of his childhood growing up in Spokane, WA. 

David was of the Jewish faith and served in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged.   He worked at ARINC from 1982 – 1993 in both the Honolulu & Foster City stations.  He was an avid Tennis player and loved to listen to music.  He was best remembered by his friends as being a fun- loving guy who had a great sense of humor.

He is survived by two loving children, Kevin Mermin (Brooke) of Findlay, OH, and Aaron Mermin (Erynne) of Toledo, OH; two siblings, Emily Davies (Gareth) of Medford, OR, and Jacob Mermin of Cape Coral, FL; as well as two grandchildren, Harrison Mermin and Foster Mermin.

    I’m so sorry to hear of David Mermins death. I was his first wife and married to him for 7 years. We had no children. Yes he was known for his sense of humor!!

    I, too, am sorry to hear of Dave’s passing. We met in the USAF in Sacramento and became fast friends and spent a lot of time together over the next 15 yrs or so in Sacto, Honolulu & the Bay Area. His sense of humor & friendship will be missed

    Our sincerest condolences to Dave’s family during this difficult year. We worked with him at the Honolulu Arinc station.
    He was a very knowledgeable trainer and radio operator. Keeping you all in our prayers. God bless.
