Unfortunately, Dave and I failed to keep in touch over the years–other than at an occasional Wake, etc. Though only six months older than I, he introduced me to my first “pizza” in Ottawa one cold winter night. I was 15 & he was 16. I still remember that slanted front pizza building on West Rt. 6 in Ottawa. Also, he’s responsible for my first experience playing pool in his family’s basement (across the road from us RR1 Ransom) and also at “Stacys” on Main street in Streator. To Darlene and his family– I wish you the strongest heartfelt condolences and yes, I’m sure he’s driving around in large green machines in Heaven–with a big grin on his face.. See ya soon Dave. Sorry for your loss. He was a great guy. Loved it when he came to our ACE store! We would talk and give each other a hard time. Lots of fun.
