Deborah Lee Kartel

Deborah Lee Kartel, 59, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 1968, formerly of Ontario, Canada, passed away Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in Cape Coral. She was born July 19, 1960 in Oakville, Ontario, Canada.

Debbie was of the Presbyterian faith. She was a graduate of North Fort Myers High School.

Debbie worked for area cable companies for the last 37 years where she made many lifelong friends.  Debbie will be remembered by her warmth, kindness and infectious smile.

She is survived by her beloved husband of 35 years, Paul Kartel of Cape Coral; loving father, Robert Philip of Cape Coral (Gayle Fox); sister, Cheryl Ann Beaton (Scott) of Antigonish, Nova Scotia; as well as an aunt, Linda Jay of Oakville, Ontario, Canada, and two uncles, William Philip (Deanna) of Puslinch Ontario, Canada, and Douglas Philip (Kathy) of Burlington, Ontario, Canada.

Deborah was preceded in death by her mother, Arlene Bunny Philip.

    I still remember being a part in your wedding. It was my first time being in a wedding and I was so nervous. Your calming personality me feel so at ease.
    I truly feel blessed that you became a part of our family. We will forever miss you.

    Aunt Debbie, I know you are in a good place looking down over us. We will forever miss your sweet smile and the love that you showed for all of us. Don’t worry, because Uncle Paul is in good hands. The Love you showed him will continue to flow through all of us and we will keep him safe. I wish there was more time to say goodbye, but I am blessed to have had you as part of our family. I love and miss you. Rest in peace Aunt Debbie!

    The memories I have with Uncle Paul and you will never be forgotten. Standing up in your wedding and the endless vacations I will always cherish and remember. I will miss our talks. You always made me smile and new how to make things better. You are now are angel from above. Love you always and forever.

    Debbie was like an Aunt to me. She and Paul were always present in our families celebrations and even our hardships. She had a huge part of what I deem the best years in my career at TWC where we all forged a family! Paul you still have us here and will always be there for you! Debbie will make sure of that!     Debbie was the first person I met when I transferred to Cape Coral TWC. Debbie has a contagious smile and her and Paul were always so helpful. You are dearly missed Debbie. Paul, you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. M y heart is broken.
