Delbert Emmett Cochran
Delbert Emmett Cochran, 78, a Lee County, FL resident for the past 11 years, formerly of Philadelphia, PA passed away Friday March 18, 2016 in Ft. Myers, FL. He was born October 20, 1937 in Midland, MI to Edwin and Violet Cochran, now deceased.
Delbert attended Faith Presbyterian Church in Cape Coral. Delbert’s first passion was cooking followed by his love of children. Delbert often reminisced about working on a farm and his farm stories will be missed. He was an honored veteran of the US Navy and served on the USS Charles H. Roan. Delbert worked at the Rohm & Haas chemical plant in Philadelphia retiring in 1995.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 54 years, Carol S. Cochran of Cape Coral, FL; loving son, Del Joseph Cochran (Jill) of Tampa, FL; three loving siblings, Gary Cochran (Sophie) of Philadelphia, PA, Margaret Bunker (Walter) of Shepherd MI and Kathy Swetz (John) of Mt Pleasant MI; four loving grandchildren, Matthew, Patrick, Collette and Seth; as well as great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Delbert was preceded in death by a daughter, Corrine Ball, and two brothers, Charles and William Cochran.
A Memorial Service will be held in the chapel at 10:00 am on April 1, 2016 at Faith Presbyterian Church, 4544 Coronado Pkwy., Cape Coral, FL 33904 withRev Dr. H. Timothy Halverson officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in memory of Delbert Emmett Cochran to the Ronald McDonald House, 16100 Roserush Court, Ft. Myers, FL 33908.
