Dennis Dale McHugh

July 14, 1958 - July 15, 2022

Dennis Dale McHugh, 64, a resident of Cape Coral, FL for the past 30 years, formerly of Bud Lake, NJ, passed away Friday, July 15, 2022 in Cape Coral. He was born July 14, 1958 in Dover, NJ to Francis and Constance McHugh, now deceased.

Dennis graduated from Mount Olive High School in Flanders, NJ. He went on to become a mason, and later on in life he decided to ditch the block and pick up a brush to become a commercial painter. During the time he was a mason he completed many commercial buildings, as well as many of Lee County’s educational buildings. He also had many accomplishments during his painting career such as, commercial and residential work throughout Lee County. He was an avid motorcyclist. During his leisure time he enjoyed riding his 89′ Harley Sportster, which was his pride and joy. His favorite quote to say was “He lived to ride, ride to live”. Dennis will always be remembered as a devoted father and a loving brother. He was loved by so many, and not a day will go by that he will not be missed.

He is survived by his loving son, Tylor McHugh (and fiancé, Hailey Failla) of Cape Coral; great uncle, Jimmy McHugh of North Fort Myers, FL; great aunt, Betty Grassick McHugh of North Fort Myers; three brothers, Gary McHugh of PA, Bobby McHugh (Denise) of NJ, and Leonard McHugh of Cape Coral; niece and nephew, Katelynn and Robert; the mother of his son, Cynthia Norman of Strasburg, PA and Fort Myers, FL; as well as Ruger, the dog.

Dennis was preceded in death by a son, Austin McHugh.
