Dennis Fleming

Dennis Fleming, 60, a resident of Cape Coral, FL since 2014, formerly of Maywood, NJ, passed away Thursday, June 20, 2019 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born October 4, 1958 in Jersey City, NJ to James and Catherine Fleming, now deceased.

Dennis was of the Catholic faith and a part of the religious community at St. Therese Catholic Church, in North Fort Myers. He was a Grand Knight in the Catholic Fraternal Service Organization of the Knights of Columbus. Dennis was a humanitarian and a firm believer in giving back to his community. He served as a Volunteer Firefighter and EMT for over 35 years. Dennis also passed on the knowledge and skills acquired throughout his volunteering career by teaching CPR and First Aid for IBEW Local 165 Union.

His calling was to save lives. Dennis also loved caring for and rescuing animals. His passions were photography, motorcycles, flags, traveling and gardening. He loved his family deeply and enjoyed meeting and getting to know new people.

He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Myrian Nino Fleming, of Cape Coral, FL. He is also survived by his three children, Wayne, Sabrina and Samantha Fleming of West Milford, NJ; three sisters, Maureen Leidig (Christopher) of Dumont, NJ, Janice Fusco (John) of Cape Coral, FL, and Karen Quinn (Robert) of Barnegat, NJ as well as his brother, Brian Fleming (Denise) of Old Tappan, NJ

A viewing for Dennis will be held Thursday, June 27, 2019 from 6:00-8:00 PM at Mullins Memorial Funeral Home located at 3654 Palm Beach Blvd, Ft. Myers, FL 33916. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, June 28, 2019 at 11:00 AM at St. Therese Catholic Church located at 20115 N Tamiami Trail, North Fort Myers, FL 33903 with Father Tom Heck officiating.
