Donna Jean Nasser
Donna Jean Nasser, 83, of Sylvania, OH and a seasonal resident of Fort Myers, Florida for more than 20 years, passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 in Fort Myers. She was born June 8, 1937 in Toledo, OH to Raymond and Ruth Mustafaga, now deceased.
Donna was a graduate of Whitmer High School. She spent her younger years being a mom to her three daughters, worked at the local elementary school in the cafeteria and coached girl’s basketball at the Catholic Club in downtown Toledo.
She was an avid golfer and tennis player. She was a member of Highland Meadows Golf and Country Club for many years. In Florida, as a member of Heritage Palms Golf and Country Club, she spent her time on the golf course, tennis court and bike path.
When not enjoying the outside, you could find her playing mahjong or bridge with her many dear friends. Other interests included knitting and crocheting.
She loved to cook and host parties for family and friends. There would always be enough food for the neighborhood when she was done cooking.
Donna was of the Catholic faith and a member of St. Joseph Parish in Sylvania OH.
She is survived by her beloved husband of over 64 years, Nap Nasser of Sylvania, OH (Fort Myers, FL); two loving daughters, Christine Marti (Don) of Greensboro, NC, and Connie Root (Richard) of Metamora, OH; brothers, Karl Mustafaga (Sally) of Alpena, MI, and James Mustafaga (Shirley) of Petersburg, MI: sister-in-law, Leona Mustafaga of Toledo, OH; six grandchildren, Nick, Joshua, Meredeth, Amanda, Megan, and Ryan; as well as nine great grandchildren, Ethan, Addison, Lariah, Jude (Bubba), Maverick (Bull), Sway, Malakai, Riley and Ella.
Donna was preceded in death by a daughter, Denise Wright; brothers, Raymond Jr., Bernard and infant brother William Mustafaga, sister-in-law Linda Mustafaga, brothers-in-law, Ron and Edward Nasser.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Toledo, OH at a later date. Details to be announced via www.MullinsMemorial.com.
Memorial Contributions in memory of Donna Jean Nasser are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or any charity of the donor’s choice.
