Dr. William G. Rincon, DO, Lt. Commander United States Navy, 55 years old, long time resident of Fort Myers, FL, formerly of Jacksonville, FL, Okinawa, Japan and Far Rockaway, New York, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 in Fort Myers, FL. He was born August 16, 1962 in Cali, Colombia.
William was of the Catholic faith. He grew up in Far Rockaway, New York. William graduated from Far Rockaway High School, Class of ’81, where he met his high school sweetheart of 41 years, Margarita Rincon Hoyos. William received his BA from Stoneybrook University and DO from Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. William enlisted in the Navy where he served for ten years. He was stationed overseas in Okinawa, Japan. William was an accomplished Obstetrician / Gynecologist and Cosmetologist who served the greater Fort Myers area for over 18 years. William was one of the first physicians in Fort Myers to utilize the Da Vinci robotics in ob/gyn surgery. He was beloved by his patients and delivered a countless number of children. He also loved bike riding with his friends and family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years, Margarita R. Rincon Hoyos, loving daughters, Chaislyn and Brittany Rincon, devoted mother, Emma Rincon, sister Rosa Vega, brother Fabio Rincon; as well as loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. William was preceded in death by his father, Jose Rincon.
A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, August 4, 2018, at 11:00am at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Blvd., Cape Coral, FL 33904 with Father Gordon officiating with a repass to follow at St. Andrew Catholic Church.
