Edward Gene Tackett
Edward Gene Tackett, 57, a lifelong resident of Lee County, FL, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born January 1, 1965 in Fort Myers, FL.
Edward was of the Methodist faith. Friends and family knew they could always find him tinkering with something, as a child Eddie found beauty in the mechanics of objects. He taught himself how to rebuild countless household items and motorcycles. He had a natural talent for fixing and building things, whether it be car motors or barbie dolls, you could always count on him to lend you a hand. He truly enjoyed helping others and would give the shirt off his back if someone was in need. Eddie was always known for his contagious humor and larger than life heart. Animals and people always gravitated to him, but what he took great pride in was the love he had for his daughter, Shannon. His family and friends know he is riding his motorcycle and watching Westerns in heaven.
He is survived by his former wife, Debbie Tackett; mother, Carol Weniger of Cape Coral, FL; daughter, Shannon Williamson (Dylan) of Cape Coral, FL; as well as nephew, Jacob Tackett of St Louis, MO.
Edward was preceded in death by father, Edward Tackett Sr. and sister, Sandy Tackett.
A celebration of life will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, August 15, 2022 at Mullins Memorial, 3654 Palm Beach Boulevard, Fort Myers, FL 33916.
Mullins Memorial Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cape Coral, is entrusted with final care.

Love my father unconditionally forever and ever ❤️
I remember when he was born. I watched him grow into an outstanding individual and enjoyed being around him. When I saw him grow I thought I was seeing double by how he resembled his dad. Tackets were family to me.RIP.
Knew Eddie since he was a baby. Condolences to Eddie’s family and friends. Gone to soon. RIP Eddie ❤️❤️
