Edwin Monroe Soble, Jr.

June 15, 1942 - February 19, 2022

Edwin Monroe Soble, Jr., of Hastings NY, passed away Saturday February 19th in Cape Coral FL at the age of 79. Eddie was born in Parish, NY on June 15, 1942 to Lucy and Edwin Soble, Sr.

He is survived by his wife and lifelong best friend, Janice Soble; children, Ted (Mary) Soble, Karen (Dan) LeClair, Becky Soble Mezger; as well as twelve grandchildren and twenty- three great grandchildren.

Eddie was an avid carpenter and custom home builder. He enjoyed spending time with the people he loved. Being an outdoors man, he also spent much of his free time hunting, fishing and golfing. Eddie was incredibly patient and loved to teach anyone who was willing to learn. He enjoyed going for drives to visit the Amish community and supporting local business. He will be forever missed.


In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Victory Bible Church which will be forwarded to a charitable organization of the family’s choice: Victory Bible Church, 255 Hungry Lane, Central Square, NY 13036.

Private family services will be held.

    Dear Janice, Ted, Karen , Becky and Families.,
    It is HeartBreaking to know that Ed is gone, I remember all of you living on Elderberry Lane as all of us kids were in school somewhat together. It is with all my sorrow and love that I say “I am deeply sorry that He is gone” May He rest in Peace .

    Janice and family, I am so sorry for the loss of Ed. He was definitely one of my favorite clients to work with. He had a great sense of humor and was just genuinely kind. Both you and Ed are just amazing people and have passed that down to your children. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and I am honored to have known Ed.
