Elaine Boudreault

February 26, 1941 - July 13, 2022

Elaine Boudreault, 81, wife of Francis Boudreault passed away Wednesday, July 13th, 2022.  She was born in 1941 in Massachusetts to Fred and Ethel Piazzi and was a resident of Fort Myers for the past 27 years.  She graduated with a master’s degree in social work from Boston College, and at 27 became an entrepreneur.  She will be greatly missed by her husband, three children, and six grandchildren, and the rest of her extended family.

Elaine was a loving and caring wife, mom, and grandmother.  She loved watching her grandchildren play sports, run, perform in plays and ballets, and play music.  She especially loved hearing about their day.  As a young mother, Mom always put the family first, expending so much energy chasing her three energetic children and pets around two acres of property.  She earned a reputation as a fantastic Italian chef, famous for her amazing lasagna sought after by her family, friends, and especially her children’s friends.  She was accomplished at fishing and waterskiing with her family in her younger years.

Mom had a huge heart and loved helping people.  Her gift was her ability to talk to people from all walks of life, making friends instantly with her empathy, earning her the nickname “softy” for treating everyone like her children with her caring soul.  Mom balanced her big heart with some tenacity and a strong will, known for speaking her mind.  We all knew who the boss was!

Mom talked to her family every day and was well known for leaving long voicemails on all our phones as if she was carrying on an ongoing conversation.  She retired to Florida with Francis and realized another personal goal of theirs, living on the water.  In her retirement, she made up for the distance between her children and grandchildren in other ways to remain a big part of their lives.  We always knew to set aside a lot of time when she called as she never wanted to hang up.  She was the glue of our family, ensuring we were all up to date on each other with her gift of gab.  She adorned the home with pictures of family and personalized gifts and portraits to display how proud she was of her family.

Elaine leaves behind her husband, Francis; her children, Jody, Dana, and Jim; as well as her six grandchildren.

Celebration of Life for Elaine will be held at 10:30am on Friday, July 29th, 2022, at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 13031 Palm Beach Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33905 with Pastor O’Madagain officiating.

Paul and I are very saddened by the loss of our dear friend, Elaine. Our friendship goes way back to when our sons hung out as teenagers in Berkley, Massachusetts. Elaine was truly blessed with a wonderful and devoted husband, Frank, who cared for her unconditionally over the years, and with children and grandchildren who she was very proud of. We will always remember the good times we had with Frank and Elaine, at Reliv meetings, lots of laughs playing cards, and their generosity, hospitality, and love towards us. Elaine will be greatly missed. We love you, Elaine.

    Hello Boudreault family,
It’s been many years since I’ve seen any of you, as you may know I moved to Michigan for my employer in 2001. My parents shared the sad news of your mom’s passing so I just wanted to drop a note with my condolences.
I know your mom has been fairly ill the past few years, find comfort in the fact that she is now at peace with the Lord.
I’m truly sorry for your loss and can still hear your mom getting on me about parking my scooter in her spot in the driveway or eating all your snacks after school. haha.
Your family is in my prayers, stay well.
    Love,
    Dave
