Erica Lynn Brothers

February 13, 1978 - April 24, 2022

Erica Lynn Brothers, age 44, loving mother/stepmother of three boys and an adoring companion to her lifelong partner, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, April 24th, 2022. Erica was a long-time resident of Cape Coral, FL, with her original roots stemming from Worcester, MA.

Erica was of spiritual faith, she adored everything and anything associated with the great outdoors, and when it came to stray animals; they were some of her best friends, always keeping her smiling. One of her finest traits was her contagious laugh and beautiful smile; with both gleaming, she could light up any room she graced. Erica will be greatly missed by her family, friends, and the many people whose lives she touched.

The family would like to share some thoughts about their dear Erica:

 ~My Girl, Erica Brothers (Sullivan)

She was mine and I will always be hers forever. Through the ups and downs, the good & the bad. Our love was the constant, and with that love came our boys. Erica was the muse that kept our family together and made us better than who we were. I will forever miss you!

                                                           ~Dave (Your Lizard King)

~My Mother, Erica, was a beautiful, loving mother and wife who was unique with many special talents. She had a special power to make friends with anyone, no matter how you felt that day, sad or mad, she’d make you laugh and you’d feel better. It was like she knew what to do and what to say at the right times, almost as if she could read minds. My mom was very talented with a mind that expanded past the stars, which connects to her amazing art. Her mind allowed her to create art that had so much meaning behind them while still drawing amazing pictures. She was also engaged to an amazing man, my dad, who supported her in all her dreams, a man who protected and loved my mom harder than anyone I’ve ever seen. He cared for her like she was his QUEEN! We love you mom, forever and always.

                                                ~Your son, Ethan

~Erica was a mother who loved her children and had so much love for others but struggled to love herself. I wish I could have shown her how to accept her faults and love herself, like I learned from her. You were a one-of-a-kind mother indeed, I LOVE YOU, MOM! Surf the stars

                                                                    ~You son, Dylan

She is survived by her longtime companion, Dave Sullivan; her loving mother, Roberta Brothers; children, Dylan Johnson, Ethan Sullivan, and stepson, Austin Sullivan; her sister, Jessica Brothers; brother, Keith Brothers; maternal grandmother, Yolanda Manzo; nieces, Kourtney Laakso and Isabella Brothers; as well as her first granddaughter, Aspen on the way; she had a very large family too which included many aunts, uncles, and cousins from all over the world.

Erica was preceded in death by her father, Charles Bruce Brothers.

A Celebration of Life will be held at The Edison Country Club, located at 3583 McGregor Blvd, Fort Myers, FL 33901 on Saturday, May 7, 2022 between the hours of 2pm – 7pm.
