Erick Charles Gunkelman

Erick Charles Gunkelman, 30, a Broward County resident for the past three years, formerly of Cape Coral and Vineland, New Jersey, passed away on Friday, March 20, 2015 in Fort Lauderdale. He was born on October 19, 1984 in Vineland, New Jersey.

Erick was a graduate of Ft. Myers High School and also attended Broward College. He spent most of his career working in the restaurant industry and had a passion for cooking and enjoyed cycling with friends in Ft. Lauderdale.

He is survived by his loving father, Tom Gunkelman and Debbie Doerge of Cape Coral; a brother, Justin Gunkelman of Bridgeton, New Jersey and a sister, Courtney Gunkelman of Chicago, Illinois; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Erick was preceded in death by his mother, Deborah J. Campbell in 1993.

A Memorial Mass will be held 10:30 AM on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at St. Andrew Catholic Church, 2628 Del Prado Boulevard, Cape Coral, FL 33904. Following, there will be a gathering from 11:30 AM – 2:30 PM at The Cape Harbour Recreation Center, 1720 El Dorado Parkway West, Cape Coral, FL 33914.
