Where can one begin to summarize so much someone has given. The Captain was like a father to me. As a young lad I had become to know the Millers and they are family. The Captain was always there with his kind words, fatherly advice, and a friend. He has taught me so much from the value of people and friendships to the rewards of hard work and dedication. Captain always had a story, a teaching moment that captivated me like no one else. A very proud man of his accomplishments in which I marveled from the cars he so meticulously cared for to his carpentry work. Captain always had a solution and has had my admiration from the day I met him. I will greatly miss him as a part of me is missing but replaced with a part of him I will never lose. Rest well Captain, until we meet again.

An amazing man who came to England and was a very close friend of my late father Dave Dickinson, I will always treasure the fond memories of my childhood when Ernie came to see us such a gentleman and loving and caring person who we will sadly miss forever on our hearts xxx
