Gerald “Jerry” David Errico

September 6, 1929 - March 29, 2016

Gerald D. “Jerry” Errico, 86, a Cape Coral, Florida resident for the past 25 years, formerly of Winchester, Massachusetts, passed away Tuesday, March 29, 2016 in Cape Coral, FL. He was born September 6, 1929 in Winchester, MA to Fiore and Frances Errico, now deceased.

Jerry was of the Christian faith. He was a well-educated well rounded and an honored family man. As a young man at Winchester high school he earned varsity letters in basketball, football and even played baseball. In his senior years he won the coveted title of “Best Dancer” Jerry went on to attend MIT and graduated from several programs in civil engineering and mechanical engineering, also mastering the art of drafting and design. He put all that to great use as the owner of his own construction company for 30 years and retired at the age of 52. He relocated to Florida where he lived out his life. Jerry was a lifelong member of the Elks Fraternal Organization and will be remembered as a tremendous contributor to his community, a true family man and innovator of his time.

He is survived by his companion, Vera Schroeder along with her children and grandchildren; His three loving children, Judy Baldwin of MA, Donna Errico of MA, and Thomas Errico & (Amy) of FL; two loving sisters, Loretta Dube and Anne Rallo, both of MA; nine grandchildren, Michael & (Lauren), Jason & (Nadia), Nicole & (Josh), Katie & (Dave), Nicholas, Kiersey, Dominic, Katherine, and Nick; nine great grandchildren, Zachary, Zoe, Makenzi, Gemma, Talia, Tyler, Drew, Chase Gerald, and Jolene; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Jerry was preceded in death by his spouse, Kathleen A. Errico in 1990; a son, G. David Errico; a grandson, Ronald Doucette; as well as six brothers.

A Memorial Service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Tuesday April 5, 2016 at All Faiths Church, 2305 Joel Blvd. Lehigh Acres, FL 33936 with Pastor Charles Hoskins officiating.
