Glenn M. Teal

April 16, 1956 - November 3, 2017

Glenn Michael Teal, 61, a resident of Cape Coral, formerly of Matawan, New Jersey, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017 in Tampa. He was born April 16, 1956 in Jersey City, NJ.

He spent most of his life living in New Jersey and in early retirement lived in Santa Fe, New Mexico and Cape Coral, Florida. He was employed by the Monmouth County Sheriff’s Department for 23 years.

Glenn will be remembered as an avid fisherman, enthusiastic traveler, incomparable cook, lifelong New York Yankee fan and a bad ass poker player. He was loyal to friends, compassionate to those in need, and a devoted husband.

He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Jan Palmer of Cape Coral; mother, Virginia Ianule of Secaucus, NJ and two loving children, Steven Teal of NJ and Jessica Palmer-Piteo (Sean Goiburn) of Portland, OR.

A Memorial Mass will be held 4:00 PM Friday, November 10, 2017 at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, 1922 SW 20th Ave., Cape Coral, FL 33991 with Father Mark officiating. A gathering for friends will take place following Mass at the home of his brother-in-law, Harry Palmer, 4719 SW 20th Place, Cape Coral.

Memorial Contributions in memory of Glenn Teal are suggested to the American Heart Association.

    Glenn was present during a large part of my childhood. From what I remember, he was a good guy. Rest in peace.
