Gloria Jeane Newton

March 9, 1947 - August 25, 2015

Gloria Jeane “Framma” Newton, 68, a Lee County resident for the past 40 years, formerly of AK, NJ, and PA, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2015 in Cape Coral, Florida. She was born March 9, 1947 in Newton, NJ.

No words can adequately describe the love and support she provided to her family and loved ones or how much she will be missed and loved eternally. Framma loved nature, animals, life, reading, gardening, traveling and her family. She was insightful with her advice and always knew how to support someone with words of encouragement or advice. She was enjoying retirement and said that her best moments were spending time with her grandchildren. She played a huge part in their lives and always said that they were the best thing to ever happen to her.

On a professional note, Gloria worked in the public school system for over thirty years. She started working as a paraprofessional in a local school. As a struggling single parent, she returned to school and graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in 1993. She retired as an Assistant Director of Finance in the school district. While working towards her college degree, she demonstrated amazing strength and perseverance by working multiple jobs to support herself and her young children. She was the epitome of strength, courage, and perseverance in hard times and walked through these times with a positive attitude and a smile on her face. Her laughter was amazing and abundant. She was a hero to her family loved and is now sharing her amazing spirit to everyone in heaven.

She is survived by her loving mother, Shirley M. Geuther of Cape Coral; two loving children, Jason R. Newton of Pt. Charlotte, FL and Becky Newton of Cape Coral, FL; brother, Allan F. Geuther (Marienne) of Interlachen, FL; six grandchildren, Konnor Newton, Shepherd Newton, Regan Newton, Trista Newton, Alexandre Kerbrat and Angelique Kerbrat; as well as a niece, Katherine Geuther and her beloved dog Pippi (Stinky).
