Jack Brown was not only a member of my church (who weekly sat in the very front of the church and would often say: “AMEN” when he liked what I said) but a good friend who shared many hours of great wisdom of life with me. I will always cherish the hours spent with Jack, his two grandchildren, personal attorney and the fantastic dinner parties at the Veranda restaurant in Fort Myers. He remains a great mentor and friend.

Jack Brown was my uncle. He was a caring man who was always ready with a kind word, a loving heart, and a joyous laugh. I will always remember the time he would take to play with me even as a little girl, and he could make a game out of anything with his wonderful imagination. As we all know, Jack Brown had marvelous sense of humor, and always looked at life with the glass half full. He was well respected and deeply loved in both his personal and professional life.

Uncle Jack was a delightful presence in my life from my earliest memories until his recent passing. My fondest memories are of playing “Old Maid” in my grandmother’s living room and squealing with joy when he reliably “took” the Old Maid. My birthdays were always made special with a trip to “Little America”, a children’s amusement park in Indianapolis. And then so many years later when he insisted on being the “getaway” driver at both my daughters’ weddings. A “chore” which he rightly regarded as an honor – and it was. It meant so much to me that he was there for those most special times. We shared a love of dogs, family, friends, fun and faith. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him well.
